Green Banana Biomass
Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Cooking Time: 15-25 minutes
Total Time: 30-40 minutes
Ingredients
- 10 organic green bananas, keep the stems intact, washed and rinsed
Or
- 4 organic green plantains, keep the stems intact, washed and rinsed
- Filtered water to cover the bananas in a pressure cooker
Preparation
Step 1
Place a pressure cooker with filtered water over medium, bring to the boil
When the water boils, carefully, add the bananas, close pressure cooker, bring to a boil
When the pressure cooker release valve starts to make a hissing noise, cook for 8 minutes (10 minutes for green plantains)
Turn off and remove pressure cooker from heat
Reserve pressure cooker closed until pressure is gone
Step 2
Remove carefully the bananas from the pressure cooker, reserve the cooking water
Peel the bananas and place their flesh in a multiprocessor or blender
Step 3
Pulse the bananas flesh adding a small amount of cooking water until smoothie but thick
Step 4
Pour banana dough, or banana biomass in mason jars, glassed tapwears or ice trays
Use banana biomass in smoothies, juices, soups, mayonnaise, in beans, in salad dressings, preparing breads, cakes, sweets, etc.
