Sautéed Split Chicken Breasts Cooked in Onions and Garlic Sauce with Fresh Herbs

Ingredients
- 4 bone-in free-range organic chicken breasts halves, with skin
- 2 tablespoons ghee, or fat of choice
- 1 large red onion, finely chopped
- 10 garlic cloves, minced
- 10 fresh sage leaves
- 10 sprig fresh marjoram
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- Pepper to taste (optional)
- 1 cup filtered water
Preparation
Place a large pot over medium heat and add ghee
Add the onions, stir occasionally, sauté until lightly brown (10 minutes)
Add the garlic, stir occasionally, sauté until golden brown (5 minutes
Add chicken breasts, stir occasionally, using 1/2 cup of water little by little when necessary to not burn the bottom of the pan,(reserve the rest 1/2 cup)), sauté chicken until golden brown (15 minutes),
Add the rest of the water (1/2 cup), marjoram, sage, pepper, and salt, stir occasionally, bring to a boil
Cover with lid, simmer, stirring occasionally, for 20 minutes
Transfer to a serve plate
Garnish with fresh herbs
Serve immediately
